DNS, resolved

After what started out to be a horrid experience with LP’s tech support, I finally got a response from someone who was willing to help, rather than to point out the flaws of nslookup and telling me that I shouldn’t be using it.  As I suspected, this was due to some incorrect settings for my record on their end, which the fourth support person fixed.  I really hope that this isn’t indicitive of the true level of service and downtime I will get, since I’m locked in for two years.  Here’s to a smooth ride.
