The most important rule to remember when driving is: “All other drives are idiots and they are actively trying to kill you.”
I modified this when riding with someone on campus this week: “All pedestrians on campus are idiots and they are actively trying to get killed.”
While these are obvious generalizations and are not true for all people, if you drive as if they are true, then you will likely reduce your risk of having an accident.
